Problem and Trends:

We have identify a problem, in most of the music services. Recommendation algorithms often suggest you same content related videos, and bring you always to the most famous tracks of your country. The problem have been characterize by our team as the concept of “Boring loop”. organizers and musicians find it difficult for them to find an audience. It’s due to two main reason: the lack of financial resources and the time is taking to contact producers, records, festivals to get popular. When you start your career as a band, or musician, DJ, you have not enough resources to acquire audience. And the actual policy of listening service are not on the side of music, but on the side of profit (YouTube algorithm is pushing most popular music rather than unpopular). This orientation reduce the chance of artists to access to success one day.

Solution:

Conquistador want to solve the musical discovery problem, by proposing to music listener a simple solution: each day user are invited to listen a new song. We push on the app essentially new artists that are not know yet. After the listening, each user is invited to leave a feedback to the artist. If the listener very enjoy the song he can also share it easily on social network, support the artist by following him, and finally buy the song. Behind each song, we promote the music story, with few information’s about artist, track creation, texts and meaning. The idea by doing that is to implicate more the user in the story of what he just have listen. Conquistador is meant to do discoveries, we provide quality, not quantity.

On addition to that the users have a profile page, where all the songs that he has love are displayed. Also, all users can earn some awards points (Quest point) for doing specific actions (leave feedbacks, share on social networks, putting a comment about a song).

On the artist side, we display an interface meant to share songs of incoming artists, in a simple way for economize their time. The artists get some personalize advice if the song is not accepted on the platform for song music quality for example (improve your mastering of your song).

Value proposition

Our value proposition is to solve the music discovery problem. We promote artists by connecting them to our community of listeners, who are invited to help the artist to grow (by sharing the song, or buying the song).

The music tracks are suggested to each listener by an algorithm based on users’ preferences. This algorithm also evolve during discoveries in order to always suggest related but different content. As an example, we can suggest to someone which is listening Rock music some Metal songs.

Customer Segments

We distribute our product through multiple platforms: mobile app (iOS/Android) and web platform. In the objective to invite the listener to come each day, we use notifications (push notifications on smartphones/mails) to promote essentially the discovery of the day.

Towards popularity and promote artists directly to listeners, we want to be present in music festival and music events. Our bands could be present on a stand/scene and the Conquistador team will offer some goodies across the place to convince future customers.

Revenue Streams

Each music presented on the app is there for a limited time, if a listener want to keep it, he has to help the artist, by buying the song. Once the song/album is payed, he can access it on Conquistador or download it.

On each transaction (often micro transaction 1€ – 3€) we will take a percentage (20%).

On addition of that, we have few premium plans dedicated to each customer segment (listener, artists, and promoters).
