The Masters Combines a Technical Major with a Minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (I&E). Our center implements more than 400 hours of training in I&E and participates in pedagogical projects on blended education on a European level.
For example: the Business Development Lab – BDL During the 1st year, students work in teams on the development of an ICT business project.
I&E Tracks for Doctorates ▼
The I&E Tracks for doctorates trains doctoral candidates as from an early stage of their doctoral education, in a hands-on delivery mode. The objectives are that each student gains and improves skills in communication, teamwork, creativity, leadership and the ability to teach and pass knowledge to others.
It consists of two phases, the Business Competence phase followed by a Business Development Experience:
Business Competence:
- Research to Value (RV) (one week)
- Business Modelling (BM) (one week)
- Business Development (BD) (one week)
- Business Growth (BG) (one week)
- Business Change (BC) (one week)
Business Development Experience:
The Business Development Experience lasts at least six months. It consists of a business study in relation with the industrial context of the Phd. The business development experience is assessed with an I&E thesis report, written in English.
Summer School ▼
The Summer School is a unique collective adventure blending social events, summer activities and hard work in a lively context with high-level key speakers, lecturers and Coaches.
This intensive program, which has a duration of two weeks, is positioned between the first and second years of the Master School and brings international and local students (including Phds) together to work in teams. Their job is to work on a socially relevant Innovation Challenge project from scratch.
The Summer School welcomes external students coming from a variety of backgrounds and cultures, hence enriching the projects developed. Collective energy, team spirit, new friendships, project challenges and a summer atmosphere all contribute to an unforgettable experience for all the participants.
Incube ▼
The InCube program is an important springboard within our center for the students. In partnership with the Fondation Rennes 1, committed and motivated students can have the chance to devote 100% of their time to the development of their own innovative project and study its economic viability. Within the framework of an internship, hosted by the CLC, the “Incubers” have a real opportunity to test their ability in the ecosystem, whilst being helped and supported by a personal Mentor.
Innovation activities ▼
The program offers to project leaders the opportunity to boost their ideas and accelerate their launch on the market. The elected projects benefit from an important financial support, they then integrate an intense and stimulating working environment. Combining technological innovations, advanced research and scientific validation, your project must adopt a strong marketing strategy. The objective is to create new businesses (startup) or to launch or improve specific products or services.
This program is based on cooperation between various EIT partners and its industrial privileged collaborations.
Each year, Eit launches a call to projects. A session of information is organized to answer any questions. Then, projects leaders are accompanied in their project development and implementation.
